Ricoh Theta X 360° Camera

As an advanced model of the Ricoh Theta series of 360-degree cameras able to shoot 360-degree still images and videos in a single shot, the Theta X is equipped with a large touch screen display, achieves high-resolution images and has been designed in pursuit of usability and outstanding quality.

The Ricoh Theta X has a compact, lightweight body that can be easily carried around anywhere, and offers high-resolution image equivalent to a maximum of approximately 60 megapixels (output pixel). In a first for the Ricoh Theta series, the Theta X is equipped with a large 2.25-inch full-colour touch screen display, improving operability during standalone camera use. It also supports use of an interchangeable battery and an external memory card for more efficient and reliable shooting in a business setting.

Since the Ricoh Theta was released as the world's first 360-degree camera in 2013, it has been utilised in a wide range of fields as a tool that expands the possibilities of photographic and video expression. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, 360-degree content has penetrated the business world as an important tool for improving sales activities and boosting business efficiency, particularly for the advanced remote viewing of real estate properties and automobiles or to record and manage progress at building and construction sites. The use of this type of content is expected to expand in numerous industries and businesses from facility showcases to educational, healthcare and nursing settings, in addition to those industries where Theta is already in widespread use.

Touchscreen panel
The Ricoh Theta X is the first large LCD touch panel on a Theta model. The screen, located on the front of the body, is 2.25-inches for easy recall and on the go selection. Check images right there and then to ensure you’ve got the shot.

On the screen you can also control detailed shooting settings, cutting out the need for the smartphone app. Plus, with TFT colour and auto-brightness adjustment, the touchscreen panel brings your 360º creations to life in whole a new way.

60MP Images
Record images at approximately 60MP from the 11008 x 5504, 11K sensor). This high-quality camera supports precision stitching for seamless 360-panoramas.

The wide-angle lens is constructed out of 7 elements in 7 groups with an aperture of F2.4. This means that the lens is able to tackle lower-light environments and will deliver efficient and reliable shooting.

5.7K 30fps Video
Build your world with incredibly realistic spherical images up to 5.7K 30fps. The Theta X features improved image stabilisation for immersive videos. Ideal for a range of shooting styles from real-estate to VR world creation.

Manual Control
Control your image with auto, shutter priority, ISO priority and manual controls. Allowing you to prioritise what’s important and achieve that perfect shot.

Longer Shooting Periods
In addition to the 46GB internal memory, the Theta X also supports an external memory card. Insert a microSDXC UHS-I memory card (64GB or higher) for additional storage.

To further increase your shooting capacity the Theta X has a replaceable battery to support longer shooting periods.

Fast Transfers
In a hurry? The Theta X has high wireless transfer speeds whether transferring video or stills to your smartphone. Optimising your workflow and giving you the chance to share your work as quickly as possible.

Built-in GPS
Accurately embed a Geo-tag into your 360-degree photos with the built-in GPS (QZSS) and A-GPS technology. Use this accurate position information to tag locations with your images and share them on social media.

Body Design
The Theta X features a deluxe feeling body made out of a durable magnesium alloy. Thin and lightweight, the body only weighs 170g (including battery and microSD card), so that you can pop it in your pocket for easy travel.

Editing Functions
Create your own images using the THETA+ in-app editing functions. Add finishing touches onto already eye-catching work and create more visually stunning and realistic VR worlds.
