Sony A-Grade Refurbished Stock FAQ

Camera Centre UK is Britain's leading supplier of refurbished Sony photographic equipment. We often get asked about the condition and history of these products and have attempted to answer the most commonly asked questions below. If you don't find the answer you're looking for please don't hesitate to contact us.

What does refurbished mean?

To put it simply, refurbished means that a product's box has been opened and the original seal has been broken in order to check or replace the contents. It also means that we can sell them at a discounted price!

What is A-Grade?

A-Grade is the highest grade of refurbished product available from Sony. The contents of the box are complete and in excellent condition. The box may show signs of cosmetic damage or have been replaced with a plain box. Other grades may be available, however we only supply A-Grade products.

Who refurbishes these products?

All of our stock has been refurbished by Sony UK themselves at their Technology Centre just down the road in Pencoed, South Wales.

Do I still have a manufacturer's warranty?

Yes! Our refurbished Sony products come with a full 12 month manufacturer's warranty with Sony UK as standard.

Why have these products been refurbished?

The truth is we don't know the history of each individual product but reasons for refurbishment vary from cosmetic or physical damage to the packaging in one of Sony's warehouses to returns from catalogue companies. As long as each item meets the required quality and condition standards they are categorised as A-Grade and redistributed to Sony UK suppliers such as ourselves.
