The Think Tank MindShift BackLight 18L is a thoughtfully designed photo daypack built around one stand-out idea: rear-panel access. Loosen the shoulder straps, rotate the bag round to your front while keeping the padded waist belt fastened, and you can change lenses or pull out your second camera without ever putting the pack on the ground. That makes it ideal for outdoor work where mud, snow, sand or sea spray would ruin a conventional front-loading bag. Inside, the padded main compartment fits two standard camera bodies with lenses attached plus one to three additional zooms or primes, with enough depth to take a 300mm f/2.8 or a 150-600mm f/5-6.3 mounted on a body. A dedicated padded pocket accepts a 13 inch laptop, and a second sleeve holds a 10 inch tablet. The front of the pack offers a five litre daypack section for layers, a packed lunch and personal kit, while daisy chain, ice axe loops and lash points expand carrying capacity for longer trips. A built-in tripod and monopod mounting system attaches loads either centrally on the front or to the side. Built from high-quality 420D velocity nylon with YKK RC-Fuse zippers, hexa-mesh interior pockets and a polyurethane-coated underside for water resistance, the BackLight 18L is engineered to take a beating in the field.
