Although slightly slower in lens speed than the 135mm f2.8, this lens is even more compact than 135mm f2.8. To assure superior image quality, 5 elements rather than the normal 4 were used, resulting in a measurable improvement in resolution and contrast over other lenses of its type. Complete with built-in retractable lens hood.

Unusually uniform image quality throughout the focusing range is assured by the 5-element construction, a rarity for lenses of this class. Nonetheless it is extraordinarily compact - a fine lens for beginners to SLR photography.
