The optical design even incorporates two extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements to combat aberrations and flare. Along with this, the lens features a zoom lock switch to prevent lens creep when not in use while an internal focus design helps provide a minimum focus distance of 1.5'. Additionally, it has a seven-blade circular diaphragm for smooth bokeh.
