Thanks to its very large focal length range, the 18-200mm is suitable as a standard lens for virtually all photographic occasions. Especially when travelling, the ultra-compact and lightweight design ensures undisturbed photo fun.

From wide angle to telephoto range, you can master many photographic situations with this lens. The 18-200mm Di II is in the tradition of the legendary Tamron Megazoom lenses and has an 11.1x zoom that corresponds to a focal length range of 28-300mm on full-frame cameras.

The AF18-200mm Di II works with innovative XR lenses (Extra Refractive Index) to optimize the distribution of optical power throughout the focal length range. This design reduces various imaging errors to the absolute minimum and at the same time allows a much more compact design. In addition, three aspherical hybrid elements to prevent spherical aberration and two elements made of LD (low dispersion) glass are used to compensate for chromatic aberration.

The result is a versatile zoom lens with outstanding optical quality. It achieves an image scale of 1:3.7 and is therefore also suitable for macro shots, with a closest focusing distance of only 45cm. Experience the versatility of a new lens standard with fantastic value for money.
